Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer
Andrew Bowman leads a team of more than 50 experienced financial professionals involved in credit underwriting, loan work-out, collections, appraisals, environment orders and reviews, as well as acts as the chairperson for the bank’s various loan committees. He is a member of the bank’s ALCO, Allowance for Loan Loss, Enterprise Risk Management and Executive Management Committees.
Bowman joined Customers Bank in 2010 with extensive credit experience spanning commercial underwriting, credit and risk management, work-outs, troubled assets, asset repositioning and liquidation, distressed loan rehabilitation and much more. He has managed commercial loan portfolios ranging in value up to approximately $1 billion during some of the most turbulent market conditions with sensitivity to clients’ needs and changing economic pressures. Bowman brings a diverse credit perspective to the Executive Committee gleaned from his extensive industry experience at large and small banks, as well as his non-traditional credit experience from the leasing market.
Bowman earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Economics from Susquehanna University. He later earned his MBA in Finance and International Business from St. Joseph’s University.
He resides in Berks County with his wife.
