2019 Youth Leadership Conference

Customers Bank Team Members joined Reading and Berks area students on March 8th for the 2019 Youth Leadership Conference. The event was organized by the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance to give young people access to mentorship and the opportunity to learn about career options. Team Members enjoyed discussing the importance of education and sharing their personal career stories with students.

Read Alliance Literacy Programs

On March13th, representatives from Customers Bank presented $25,000 to Read Alliance to support literacy programs for kindergarten through second grade students and career readiness for teen tutors throughout all boroughs in New York City. Read Alliance’s dual-impact programming allows for both elementary grade and high school students to benefit from learning and leadership opportunities!

Big Cheese Berks

23 Team Members came together over two days to package mac and cheese and rice and beans to help fight hunger in Berks County, making Big Cheese Berks the largest United Way driven meal packaging event in the country!

2018 United Way of Berks County’s Day of Caring

Customers Bank team members participated in the 2018 United Way of Berks County’s Day of Caring. The group helped prepare 2,500 newsletters for mailing and powerwashed a playground area on-site at Camp Lilly Berks, a day camp designed to provide a summer camp experience for children and young adults with disabilities.

Penn State Berks Homework Hotline

Customers Bank is proud to sponsor the Penn State Berks Homework Hotline! Our donation will be used to support the free math tutoring program for the 2018–2019 academic year and fund marketing, publicity, and outreach efforts to students, parents, and educators in Berks County school districts.

The goal of the initiative is to help students in our region succeed and compete in the global economy.
